The Gallery Players’ third production for the 2019-2020 season is the show, “Matilda,” a stage musical based on the 1988 children's novel of the same name by Roald Dahl and adapted by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin..

NON-DISCRIMINATORY CASTING 

ALL ETHNICITIES, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS WELCOME!!

Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, the Tony Award-winning Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical is the captivating masterpiece from the Royal Shakespeare Company that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life. With book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, Matilda has won 47 international awards and continues to thrill sold-out audiences of all ages around the world.

Please prepare a short vocal selection (16-32 bar cut of a song in the style of the musical). No Acapella please. No songs from the musical please.

Come dressed to move, and be ready to read sides! (Resumés and headshots are welcome but not required.)

The director will accept video auditions for people who cannot attend - to his email address (davidssebren@gmail.com) and the deadline for these videos is Nov.16,

Auditions:

Monday, November 18, 2019 and Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at The Paramount Theater, 128 E. Front Street, downtown Burlington, NC.  Sign in begins at 6:30 p.m. 

 

Callbacks:

Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.  Auditions will consist of script readings.

Performances:

 

February 21-23, 2020, 28-29, 2020 and March 1, 2020
